YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Notice

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This notice explains how information is handled when you visit the Trinidad & Tobago National Commission for UNESCO website or contact the Commission through its published contact links.

Information you share with us

The website does not provide account registration or an online contact form. If you email the Commission, you choose what information to share. Your email address, message and any attachments may be used to respond to your enquiry and handle the matter you raise. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is needed for your enquiry.

Technical information

The hosting service may record technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages and the date and time of requests in server or security logs. Such information can help operate the website, investigate errors and protect it from misuse.

Browser storage and cookies

The website uses temporary session storage to recognise an internal return to the homepage and manage its entrance animation. This is a navigation preference stored in your browser, rather than an advertising profile. Session storage normally clears when the relevant browser tab or window is closed. You can also clear website data through your browser settings.

The current website code does not include an analytics or advertising tracker. External services described below may apply their own cookies or other technologies.

Fonts, videos and external services

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve them, which shares technical request information such as your IP address. Some pages also load YouTube thumbnail images; playing an embedded YouTube video connects to YouTube and may involve its cookies and data collection. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

Links to UNESCO, Facebook, Google Maps and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Clicking an email link opens your chosen email application. Information you send through that application is also handled by your email provider.

Photographs and published material

The website includes photographs and educational material about the Commission, schools and community activities. If you have a privacy concern about an identifiable person or material displayed here, please contact the Commission with the page address and details of your concern so it can be reviewed.

Your choices and privacy enquiries

You can manage browser storage through your browser settings and choose whether to follow external links or play embedded videos. For questions about personal information you have shared, or to request a correction or removal, contact unesco.info@moe.gov.tt. Please provide enough information to identify the relevant enquiry or page; avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.

Updates to this notice

This notice may be revised as the website or its services change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
